Tricks and Jokes

Trick and Joke Glasses are a rare, and unusual category of glass objects. It is believed that they served the function of producing gurgling noises, splashing, and/or squirting the unsuspecting guest.

I have spent over 40 years discovering how the mysterious internal plumbing works. I explore and create contemporary interpretations of this unique class of Renaissance drinking vessels, adjusting the scale and incorporating vivid colors.  These glasses inspire lots of laughter at fun-filled gatherings.
